Shamrock girls end regular season with loss to Bath
The St. Patrick's Varsity Girls basketball team ended their regular seasons on Thursday. The Shamrocks lost a close game to the Bath Bees after they went on a late game run, 32-39. The Shamrocks improved their defensive sets and took the shots they needed, but fell a bit short at the end of regulation. Gracelyn Rockey scored 11 points and had 4 rebounds. Portland Qualifies Two Wrestlers for Girls State Finals at Ford Field
The Portland girls wrestling team will once again be represented at the MHSAA Individual State Finals, as senior Lilli Teachworth and sophomore Georgia Stahl earned qualifying spots at Sunday’s regional tournament held at Warren Mott High School. Boys Basketball District Recap
The MHSAA boys basketball playoffs kicked off this week across Michigan, and both the Raiders and the Shamrocks picked up wins in the district semifinals. The Raiders traveled to Belding to play host Belding on Wednesday night. Portland defeated Belding 58-36. On the other side of that district, Ionia defeated Central Montcalm 57-45.
