Loren Cecil Riker, of Portland, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025 at the age of 95. He was born in Saranac, Michigan on October 6, 1930, the son of Cecil and Hazel (Glick) Riker. Loren was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycles, playing and watching golfing and bowling, and reading. Throughout his life, Loren loved to travel, more recently he cherished spending his winters in the war

The Portland Raiders traveled to Royal Scot on Tuesday to take on Lansing Catholic.   The Girls won 19-11.  High Bowler of the day was Savanah Sutton with a 178 game and a 283 series.  Karagan Calley was next with a 251 series.   The Boys Varsity team won 30-0.  High game of the day was Wyatt Spear with a 216 and a two-game series of 193.   Our next match will be this Friday against Eaton Rapids at Wagon Wheel.

The Annual Christmas on Main Street in Sunfield will be Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. with activities centered at the Welch Historical Museum.
