H. Ann Woodman, age 85, entered the heavenly kingdom to the open arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 15, 2025. Born on September 13, 1940, to Bart and Hazel Piercefield, Ann found her way in this world with an early faith in Jesus in which one sibling recalls, “Annie would hold my hand and walk me down the dirt road to home while singing hymns.” Throughout life, Ann remembered her beloved grandfather’s recommendation to “Be Still” when circumstances would arise. Psalm 46:10 was her favorite verse, “Be Still and know that I am God.” She had plaques and wall hangings reflecting this verse.

Ann was the ultimate homemaker during the years of raising her six children. She often had multiple loaves of bread and fresh cinnamon rolls ready for her family, along with other baked goods. She had a knack for keeping a clean house which dubbed her the title of “White Glove Annie” by a sibling. Her household and her children were always well taken care of, and she was an equally wonderful wife to her beloved Sonny (Clyde). Her children tell of the multiple loving gestures demonstrated through ordered books to further reading, individualized dollops of dough for her children to make personalized bread loaves or cinnamon rolls, and special miniature coffee cups for coffee that mainly contained milk rather than coffee. She was also known for her sense of humor, drawing pictures on her children’s school lunch bags or by leaving a finger imprint in the bread of her husband’s sandwich. These gestures were later discussed while her children reminisced about the ways Ann created special times for them.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Clyde, several siblings, and grandsons, Ryan, Tyler, Nicholas, and Benjamin. She is survived by her children, Vicki (Bob) Beckett, Mark (Shari) Woodman, Deb Woodman, Brenda (Curt) Blake, Todd (Carrie) Woodman, and Tami (Mike) Navarre; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom she often inquired about and requested pictures to keep abreast of their lives.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Brook of Portland. The staff provided many hours of meticulous care for Ann and became like family to Ann and her children. Some staff members called Ann, “Grandma” while others simply called her, “A very special lady.” Regardless, multiple expressions of deep sorrow were shown upon Ann’s passing.

Private family traditional burial services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
