Three Raiders Reach 100 Career Varsity Wins as Team Claims Tournament Title

Three Raider wrestlers reached a major milestone last week, each earning their 100th career varsity victory. Juniors Landon Guilford, Landon Lanz, and Branlun Simon all hit the century mark in competition.
Simon (126) secured his 100th win at home on Senior Night against Frankenmuth, while Lanz and Guilford reached the milestone at the John Harris Invitational in Shepherd on Saturday.
As a team, the Raiders continued their winning momentum on Wednesday at home, defeating Lansing Catholic 76–5 and Frankenmuth 51–24. On Saturday, they traveled to Shepherd for the John Harris Invitational, where they captured first place as a team and crowned four individual champions.
Sophomore Grady Lanz (106) earned his first individual tournament championship, joining Gunnar Williams (215), Brad Meyers (190), and Branlun Simon (120) atop the podium. Meyers and Simon both remained unbeaten on the season.
Landon Lanz (126) and Landon Guilford (285) finished as runners-up, while Landon Espinoza (165) and Wyatt Ingraham (150) placed third. Liam Spitzley (144) took fourth place, and Jack Refitt (175) and Drew Feldpausch (132) rounded out the results with fifth-place finishes.
The Raiders return to action on Wednesday, January 28, at Eaton Rapids, with wrestling set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
