The Ionia County Board of Commissioners and the County Administration Office are aware of a lawsuit reportedly filed by former Road Department Director Linda Pigue, as referenced in recent media coverage.

As of the date of this release, Ionia County has not been formally served with any legal complaint, nor has it received official legal notice regarding this matter. Given the potential for pending litigation, the County is limited in its ability to comment on specific allegations, and it would be inappropriate to do so at this time.

Ionia County remains committed to conducting its operations with transparency, accountability, and full compliance with all applicable laws and policies. Any claims or allegations will be addressed through the appropriate legal and administrative processes.

The Board of Commissioners maintains confidence in the integrity of County procedures and will respond appropriately and vigorously defend the County’s position as warranted.

We remain committed to the responsible stewardship of public resources and to maintaining the trust of the residents of Ionia County. Additional information will be provided if and when it is appropriate.

Terry Frewen

Chairperson, Ionia County Board of Commissioners
