St. Patrick Wins MHSAA 2025 Division 4 Baseball Championship

On Saturday afternoon at Michigan State University’s McLain Stadium, the Shamrocks of St. Patrick won the MHSAA Division 4 state championship.
Before facing Plymouth Christian in the Championship, the Shamrocks had to defeat Norway in the semi-finals.
State Semi-Finals: St. Patrick 7, Norway 0
On Friday, June 13th, the Shamrocks faced Norway in the semi-finals.
Brady Leonard led the Shamrock offense going tree for four at the plate. He had two doubles and one RBI. Tyler Thelen went two for three with a double. Jerryd Scheuer added one hit and Brayden Simon added one hit and two RBIs.
Leonard got the win pitching for St. Patrick. He went seven innings allowing just three hits while striking out five.
State Finals: St. Patrick 10, Plymouth Christian 0 (5 innings)
On Saturday, June 14th, the Shamrocks faced Plymouth Christian and win in a five-inning run rule victory.
Jerryd Scheuer led the Shamrock offense with three hits. Charlie Thelen had two hits including a double and two RBIs. Tyler Thelen had two hits. Brady Leonard, Logan Howe, TJ Chamberlain and Nathan Fears each had one hit for St. Patrick.
Brayden Simon got the win on the mound going five innings and holding Plymouth Christian to just one hit.
After the championship, Shamrock Head Coach Bryan Scheurer told the Beacon, “Your St. Patrick Shamrocks are State Champions! Brayden Simon threw a complete game one hitter in a 10-0 win over Plymouth Christian. Jerryd Scheurer, Charlie Thelen and Tyler Thelen all had multiple hits. Brady Leonard, Logan Howe, TJ Chamberlain and Nathan Fears added hits. Brayden Simon and Simon White added RBI’s. These boys wanted to be different this year. They asked and embraced being coached hard. They brought the juice daily to practices and games. They are the definition of gritty and a true ‘we over me’ TEAM! They will go down in history finishing 34-1 and forever Champions!!!”
2025 was the Shamrock’s third finals appearance in the last 10 years. 2017 was St. Pats last state championship when they defeated Hudson 6-2. In 2016 the Shamrocks fell to Sterling Heights Parkway Christian 10-3.
