Shamrocks overpower Wyoming Lee

The Portland St. Patrick Shamrocks travelled to Grand Rapids for a football showdown with the Wyoming Godfrey-Lee Legends. From start to finish, the Shamrocks were too fast and they ran away with the game, winning 56-0.
In the first quarter, Brady Leonard took the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. He followed that up in the next series with a 21 yard touchdown run. Jerryd Scheurer followed that up on the next series with a 6 yard touchdown run. Brody Beckhold made all three extra point kicks to make the score 21-0 after the first quarter.
The second quarter saw much of the same, with Hudson King catching an 18 yard pass from Jerry Scheurer on the first drive. Jerryd Scheurer followed that up on the next drive with a 26 yard touchdown run. Kaedan Brown continued the scoring, breaking loose for a 41 yard touchdown run. Brody Beckhold continued his kicking excellence, making all three extra points, making the score 42-0 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Fandel brothers both scored, with Aiden starting it off with a 4 yard run, and Emmet scoring on a 2 yard run. Brody Beckhold completed his perfect night, making 8 out of 8 extra points, to make the final score 56-0.
The Shamrocks outgained the Legends 370 yards to 119 yards.
Offensive leaders for Portland St. Patrick were Brady Leonard who had 4 carries for 72 yards and 1 touchdown, and 1 reception for 12 yards. Jerryd Scheurer had 3 carries for 34 yards and 2 touchdowns and went 5 for 5 in the air for 82 yards and 1 touchdown. 11 different Shamrock players carried the ball, and 5 different Shamrock players had catches.
Defensive leaders for Portland St. Patrick were Tyler Thelen who had 7 tackles, Ben White who had 8 tackles and 1 tackle for loss (TFL), Isaiah Rockey with 8 tackles and 1 TFL, and James Miller who had 8 tackles.
