Shamrocks blow out Fulton

On Saturday, September 20th the Fulton Pirates visited Portland for a rivalry match with the St. Patrick Shamrocks. The Pirates ruined a perfect season for the Shamrocks last season, and St. Patrick came out with a vengeance, destroying Fulton 48-6.
In the first quarter, it was all St. Patrick, with Hudson King breaking loose for 26 and 6 yard touchdown runs, and Brody Beckhold kicking both extra points. The Shamrock defense didn't let the Pirates even sniff the endzone, and the score was 14-0 after one quarter.
The second quarter saw more Shamrock defensive dominance, starting out with a bang when Brady Leonard picked off a pass and took it to the house. Brody Beckhold again punched it through the uprights, leaving the score 21-0 at halftime.
Portland St. Patrick unleashed hell on the Pirates in the third quarter, with two more scores from Hudson King on rushes of 56 yards and 13 yards, and a brutal run from Caleb Pline for a 47 yard touchdown. Brody Beckhold went 2-3 for the extra points, and the score was 41-0 after three quarters.
In the fourth quarter, Hudson King again broke loose for a 13 yard run, followed by a Brody Beckhold kick, making the score 48-0. The Pirates scored on a late play, and the score finished 48-6.
Defensive leaders for the vaunted Shamrock defense were Ben White who had 10 tackles and 3 tackles for loss (TFL), Augustus Teachworth had 10 tackles, Aiden Mosser had 7 tackles and 1 TFL, and Logan Kreiger had 7 tackles and 1 TFL. Mason Simon also had 7 tackles.
Offensive leaders for the Shamrocks were Hudson King who had 11 carries for 149 yards and 5 touchdowns, Caleb Pline who had 7 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Brady Leonard who had 13 carries for 74 yards.
The (4-0) Shamrocks host (2-2) Coleman for Homecoming on Saturday, September 27th at 7 pm.
