Shamrock girls win District Championship

The St. Patrick's Varsity Girls basketball team traveled to Fulton on Wednesday, and won their District semi-final game against the Pirates, 38-24. The team had excellent distribution and shot well around the arc. Following up shots both offensively and defensively the Shamrocks rebounded well and provided themselves with good opportunities for solid possessions.
Macie Leonard led the charge, scoring 16 points and had 2 steals. Gracelyn Rockey scored 7 points and had 9 rebounds. Marian Davlin added 6 points and brought in 6 rebounds. Lily Sandborn had 5 points and 4 steals. Macie Smith scored 4 points and had 5 rebounds.
The St. Patrick's Varsity Girls basketball team traveled to Carson City on Friday, and won their District Final game against the Fowler Eagles, 48-29.
The team prepared and implemented a strong offensive game with balanced inside and outside opportunities. The Shamrocks additionally played a rock solid defensive game and adjusted to the Fowler press in the fourth quarter. The team had solid offensive contributions and Gracelyn Rockey led with 20 points, Macie Smith scored 8, Macie Leonard had 6, Lily Sandborn added 6 points and Marian Davlin added 4 points.
The Lady Shamrocks move on to Regional Semi-Finals on Monday March 9th vs. Climax-Scotts at 5:30pm in Fowler.
