Shamrock Girls top Lansing Christian for District Championship, fall to Concord in Regionals

On Friday, the St. Patrick Shamrocks and Lansing Christian Pilgrims met in Potterville for the District Final game. The hard fought and gritty game ended with a Shamrock victory of 28-27.
The Shamrocks worked together to collect rebounds, dig balls defensively and distribute the ball methodically on offense. They were led in scoring by Gracelyn Rockey with 9 points, Mattie Honsowitz with 8 points and 5 rebounds, Macie Smith with 7 points and Bella Russman brought down 5 key rebounds.
The Pilgrims were led by Lydia Brogan who also scored her 1,000th career point during the game.
On Monday, the Shamrocks and the Concord Yellowjackets met in Concord for the Regional Semi-Final game. The Shamrocks had a season ending loss of 34-35. They were led in scoring by Gracelyn Rockey with 13 points and 6 rebounds, Mattie Honsowitz with 9 points and 8 rebounds, Macie Smith had 5 points, Bella Russman had 3 points, Naomi Hass had 3 points, and Lily Sandborn added 2 points.
St. Patrick finished their season with an overall record of 17-7. They finished third in the CMAC with a 13-5 league record.
The Lady Shamrocks and Coaches would like to thank the fans for their dedication this season and all of the support they showed. We also thank the parents for their donation of time and energy.
