The St. Patrick's girls basketball teams ended their season’s home game contests, by hosting Dansville on Tuesday evening. The Shamrocks took a conference victory against the Aggies, 46-26. The Shamrocks played poised and patient finding both inside and outside shots. Defensively the team stayed disciplined and converted steals and rebounds into fast break opportunities. Gracelyn Rockey scored 15 points for the Shamrocks and had 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. Maria Austen followed with 7 points. Both Lily Sandborn and Macie Smith had 10 points. Marian Davlin added 6 rebounds and held the lane down defensively.
Ryker Graf led the Aggies with 10 points.
This was the St. Patrick’s Girls Basketball Senior Night. The team and Coach Smith honored the two senior leaders of this group, Mattie Honsowitz and Lily Sandborn. Coach Smith talked about what set them apart, favorite memories, and footprints that they’ll leave with the basketball program for years to come. Both Mattie and Lily are irreplaceable in their presence, energy and leadership. We look forward to watching God’s calling and presence shape their future.
The girls program would like to give another “thank you” to Lindsey Cook for her photography services and Ken Cook for his emcee entertainment. Both talents allowed our evening to be celebrated joyously and captured memories for all!
The Shamrocks travel to Bath on Thursday for the final league matchup and ending to 2026 regular season.
