Shamrock baseball sweeps Perry

The St. Patrick baseball team improved to 8-0 for the season on Wednesday after defeating Perry in two league contests.
Game 1: St. Patrick 14, Perry 0
Brady Leonard got the win on the mound for the Shamrocks going three innings, striking out eight batters, and allowing just one hit. Isaiah Rockey pitched the final two innings and earned the save striking out for and allowing no hits.
Nathan Fears led the St. Patrick offense going three for three at the plate. Jerryd Scheurer went two for two and Brayden Simon went two for three. Leonard and Tyler Thelen each had doubles.
Game 2: St. Patrick 11, Perry 1
TJ Chamberlain went a perfect three for three at the plate. Simon had two hits including a double and Rockey added a double.
Scheurer got the win on the mound going four innings while striking out five and allowing just one hit. Chamberlain got the save pitching one inning and striking out one.
