Shamrock Baseball opens season with two wins over Laingsburg

After the scheduled season opener with Ionia on March 26th was postponed due to weather, the Shamrocks finally got to open their 2026 season on Monday when they faced Laingsburg.
Game 1: SPS 11, Laingsburg 0
Charlie Thelen led the Shamrock offense with three hits including a double, triple and homerun in the game, and four RBIs. Jerryd Scheurer had three hits with two doubles. Brady Leonard added two hits. TJ Chamberlain had a double.
Leonard got the win on the mound going four innings and striking out eight batters. I Rockey went the final two innings striking out two and getting the save.
Game 2: SPS 5, Laingsburg 0
Sean Fedewa got the win pitching in game two after striking out six over five innings. Scheurer got the save striking out one in one inning.
Tyler Thelen led the Shamrock offense going two for two with a double. Scheurer added a double.
