The Portland High School varsity baseball team’s season came to an end on Thursday night when the Raiders fell to Williamston 1-0 at Fowlerville.  Both teams had strong pitching in the game that saw only one run and six hits combined by both teams.

Even Thelen threw the complete game for Portland striking out six batters in seven innings.

Williamston scored their sole run in the top of the third.

Barrett Brennan got Portland’s only hit in the game.

The Raiders finish their 2025 season with a 23-8 overall record, 12-0 CAAC White record, league championship, and district championship.  They spent multiple weeks ranked in the top 10 in the MHSBCA state poll.

With the win, the Williamston advances to face Mason at the University of Michigan in the regional finals on Saturday.
