The cross-country teams returned to action Tuesday at Grand Woods Park for the CAAC White Jamboree #2. The course, known for its rolling hills and a tough finish, tested the runners’ endurance and strategy throughout the race.
Despite battling through a number of injuries, the girls’ team showed resilience and determination, earning a 5th-place team finish. 17th place Paige Weber led the way with a strong time of 21:42, followed by 28th place Lauren Spitzley at 23:20. Veda Smith crossed in 25:12, with Claire Lyon running a season record of 25:46. Addison Cody capped off the scoring with a personal record time of 28:17.
Several other runners also pushed hard to the finish with either season or personal bests, including Abby Seavey (28:24), Peyton Rockey (29:47), Willa Almy (31:11), and Jorja McFarland (31:27).
The boys continued their impressive season with another second-place finish, falling only to powerhouse Lansing Catholic—one of the top-ranked teams in Division 3.
Leading the charge once again was Andrew Feldpausch, who claimed his second straight CAAC individual title with a winning time of 16:57. He was followed by Owen Moore in 7th place (17:42), Donnie Richmond in 11th (18:18), Aaron Martinson in 18th (18:51), and James Feldpausch, who rounded out the scoring with a 20:31.
Other strong performances came from Tanner McNair (21:41), Aiden Espinoza, who dropped 1:30 for a new PR at 21:42, and Noah Huffine, who ran a season record of 23:36.
