Portland Tennis Memorial Quad Results

The varsity tennis team hosted their annual PHS Memorial Quad this past Saturday, where they remembered the lives of three PHS tennis players that were lost too soon — Michael Cole, Chance Conley, and Austin Getchell.

On the court, all twelve Raiders stepped up their game, with each flight coming away with at least one victory. Undefeated flight champions included 1 singles Tej Virk, 1 doubles Max Weller and Cam Calkins, 2 doubles Keaton Bayless and Sam Nobis, and 3 doubles Vander Nye and Gage Larson. Runner-up flights were 3 singles Ty Clark and 4 doubles Tanner Brownell and Jacob Heinicke. Overall, the team finished in 1st Place for the tournament, marking the first time winning the Memorial Quad since its inception.

Off the court, a grand total of $1,515 was raised to support the charities/foundations picked out by Michael, Chance, and Austin’s families! It was a fulfilling day to be a Raider!
