Portland MS Hosts Annual Veterans Day Breakfast for Families of Students
Portland Middle School hosted its annual Veterans Day Breakfast on Friday, November 8th, bringing together local veterans, students, and their families for a morning of appreciation. The event, which took place in the school’s cafeteria, featured a delicious breakfast spread prepared by the school's food service staff to honor our guests for their service.
The event, attended by over 40 people, featured performances by the school choir, who sang the Star-Spangled Banner. Their moving performance set the tone for the day’s celebrations. Following the musical tribute, Student Council members served breakfast and presented handmade thank-you cards and gifts to the veterans, expressing their appreciation for the sacrifices made in service to the country.
The annual breakfast has become a cherished tradition at Portland Middle School, providing an opportunity for students, families, and local veterans to come together and celebrate the spirit of patriotism. The school looks forward to continuing this meaningful event in the years ahead.
