Last Saturday we held our annual Portland Festival of Tables. This event is a special time where we start by viewing specially decorated Tables and then enjoy a catered meal from Taste of Heaven Catering. Our speaker for this event was Brenda Ross, a certified Functional Nutrition Coach.
Proceeds from this event will benefit PAMA’s (Portland Area Ministerial Association) Compassion which helps families and individuals in the Portland School District who are in crisis. Additionally, PAMA helps to provide free Christian counseling through the Beacon of Hope counseling ministry.
So many people in the community help making this event successful including table hostess and those involved set up and meal preparation. We particularly want to recognize the businesses that support the Festival of Tables: Portland Party Store, Portland Country Club, Courageous Coffee, New China Buffet, Olivera’s, Kats and Kittens Thrift shop, Don Jose Mexican Grill, Fabiano’s Westside Grocery, Riversedge Bar and Grill, Michelle VanSlambrock and Soup Project, Honey Hair Company, SueAnn’s Avon Boutique, Taylor’s Sentsy Bar, Bobbie Hoskins - Mary Kay, Deb Gehringer’s Handmade Cards, Maureen Quigley, Page Farms, and Martha Kenyon
Pictures of our lovely tables can be seen on Facebook group Portland MI Festival of Tables.
