Portland Cheer advances to States

The Portland High School competitive cheer team has had a remarkable season and is advancing to the state finals.

The team finished first in the district competition at Alma on February 19th with a score of 764.4.

The squad then finished second at the regional competition at Rockford on February 26th with a score of 762, just 12.62 points behind regional winner Paw Paw.

Portland and seven other teams will compete in the state final competition on Saturday, March 5th.
