The Portland boys cross country team delivered one of its strongest performances in recent history at the CAAC White Jamboree #3, held at Country Mill Orchard in Charlotte. The Raiders locked down a 2nd place team finish for the second consecutive year, solidifying their status as a rising force in the conference.

Leading the charge was senior Andrew Feldpausch, who made history of his own by claiming his third straight conference meet victory. Feldpausch crossed the line in 16:30, earning the individual CAAC White Conference Championship and capping off a dominant regular season.

Joining Feldpausch at the front of the pack was fellow senior standout Owen Moore, whose 5th-place finish in 16:49 earned him First Team All-Conference honors. With Feldpausch and Moore combining to win four of the last six league meets, Portland’s presence in the conference has never been stronger.

The Raiders’ depth continued to shine with sophomore Donnie Richmond, who turned in a massive 28-second personal best, finishing 6th in 16:59 and securing a spot on the Second Team All-Conference.

The freshman duo of Aaron Martinson and James Feldpausch also rose to the occasion. Martinson ran an impressive 18:20, placing 18th overall and earning Honorable Mention All-Conference, while Feldpausch clocked 19:03, earning his second consecutive PR.

Strong performances continued throughout the roster. Freshman Aiden Espinoza dropped a 1:20 PR, finishing in 20:22, his best effort of the season. Senior Tanner McNair followed at 20:57, and sophomore Noah Huffine capped the night with a season-best 22:52, trimming 44 seconds off his previous mark.

With multiple all-conference honors, breakout performances, and a team podium finish, the night was a major step forward for Portland’s boys program. Now, all eyes turn toward Regionals on October 25 at Grand Rapids South Christian, where the Raiders will look to extend their season and continue writing this exciting chapter in program history.
