Portland Bowling Teams Compete at Char Lanes vs. Olivet

The Portland bowling teams traveled to Char Lanes on Wednesday to take on Olivet and came away with strong performances across all levels.
The Girls Varsity team earned a hard-fought 17–13 victory to improve their record to 7–1. Battling through injury and illness, the girls showed resilience and determination to secure the win. Savanah Sutton led the way as high bowler of the day with a 301 two-game series, followed by Karagan Calley with a 273 two-game series.
The Boys Varsity team picked up an impressive 23–7 win. After opening with an 886 team game and narrowly losing by six pins, the boys responded in a big way by bowling a season-high 963 team game. Wyatt Spear was the high bowler of the day with a 219 game and a 399 two-game series. Additional strong performances came from Tanner Brownell (348), Easton Pleyte (362), Zach Edlund (363), and Camden Calkins (377). The team posted its highest pinfall of the season and improved its record to 6–2.
