PHS Shoebox Project

Once again, PHS is getting into the holiday spirit with our annual Shoebox Project. Traditionally, over 300 shoe boxes are filled for children of all ages with small gifts/toys and necessities such as shampoo, toothpaste, etc. and just as many are needed this year. The boxes are given to the Portland Community Fund Association to distribute to those in need within the Portland school district.

If you would like to participate in this project by creating a shoebox or by donating money/items, please consider making a box (or a few) with your family, friends, classmates, team, church, or just on your own. A “suggested items” list is attached to this email. If you have any other questions, contact Mrs. Getchell or Mrs. Townsend at 647-2981 or TGetchell@portlandk12.org.

We need help with this, so students and family members are invited to fill a shoebox. If you are short on time, but have other resources, donations of items or money will be very helpful. Let’s show our Raider Pride by giving what we can and helping others in our community.
