William Warren Luscher was born February 23, 1947 in Ionia, Michigan, the son of Walter and Joyce (Wilson) Luscher. He was a veteran who passed on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024

Bill served in the Army in Augsburg, Germany and Vietnam. He was wounded in Vietnam. While serving in Germany the tank he was driving slid into a house. He claimed, “the roads were a little slick with snow.”

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and often found ways to play practical jokes with his prosthetic. His skill (or lack thereof) with driving cars was well known. He wasn’t nicknamed “Wild Bill” for nothing. You did not want to ride with him if he started talking about wanting a new car.

He is survived by Cynthia Sheldon, sisters Judie (Chuck) Goodman and Laurel (Jack) Manning of Portland and step-son Jeff Schultz of Huntingdon, Tennessee as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held from 11 am to 3 pm on December 7, 2024 at the Portland VFW. Please dress casually. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
