Obituary for Thomas George Goff

Thomas George Goff, age 74, of Lansing, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021. He was born on February 4, 1947, the son of George and Betty Goff. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Department of Corrections for 25 years. He enjoyed leather working, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, John Goff and Peggy Roth. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rene; children, Mark (Heather) Goff, Matthew (Jennifer Jacobson-Goff) Goff, and Nicole (Jason) Ealy; grandchildren, Victoria and Catherine Goff, Jonathan and Rachel Jacobson, and Andrew Goff; siblings, Sue Goff and Kathy (Michael) Schafer; and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will take place at Portland Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by The Portland V.F.W. Post #4090. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans of American in honor of Tom.
