Obituary for Sean Sandbrook

Sean Sandbrook, age 52 passed away on July 16, 2023. He was born January 2, 1971 in Alma, MI, the son of Larry Sandbrook and Diane Sandbrook (Zinn). He spent most of his life in Portland and most recently resided in Parrish, FL.

He graduated from Portland High School in 1989. Sean enjoyed watching NASCAR, tinkering in the pole barn, and working on vehicles. Throughout his life one of his biggest accomplishments was building his dream car. He took great pride in his children, and his love for them and his grandson was unquestionable.

Sean is survived by his children, Adam (Taylor) Sandbrook, Cole (Alisa Platte) Sandbrook, and Allison (Dean Battley) Sandbrook; Grandson, Clint Sandbrook; Parents, Larry (Lynn) Sandbrook and Diane Sandbrook; Siblings, Lisa Crosby and Mike Freeborn and Jennifer Sandbrook, the mother of his children and previous wife of 28 years

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Donald and Elna Mae Sandbrook, Yvonne (Darrell) Thomas and Harold Zinn.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17. 2023 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St. Portland. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. A funeral dinner will follow at the V.F.W. Post #4090. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
