Roxanna Lee (Balderson) Feldpausch, born July 10, 1943, surrounded by love, was called home to the Lord on October 9, 2025. She was greeted with love and reunited with her husband in eternal peace.
Roxie wore many hats. She officially worked in the library at Lansing Community College for over 25 years, but she also passed on the love of crafts to many others along the way. She taught them informally, as well as in organized classes. There wasn't a craft she hadn't tried, but sewing and knitting were her passions. Generous to a fault, she gave away many of these projects.
Roxie loved life...She loved running the roads; seeking out antiques, fabric yardage and race car parts with her partner in crime, Jack. She loved the creativity of quilting, stitching and just about any needle crafts. She loved being around people, family sitting around the dining room table eating or playing cards and the quiet solitude of a hot cup of coffee and a good book.
And she loved her family...either chosen by chance or choice. She was married to Jack for 44 years, separated only by his death. She had four children, sons John Feldpausch Jr., Mark Feldpausch, and daughters Penelope (Scott Slagle) Christensen-Slagle and Patricia (Chip Weygandt) Feldpausch. She was loved by several grandchildren and greatgrands, many nieces and nephews, brother Joe (Sue) Balderson, and sisters-in-law Barb (Tim) Beech and Judy (Jim) McCarthy. She was also loved, but preceeded in death by sister Pat (Balderson) Jones and brother and sister-in-law H. Thomas and Marylin Balderson.
She will be honored with a visitation with family on October 22, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Lehman Funeral Home in Portland, and a mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on October 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to West Michigan Hospice or to cancer research, as these both touch close to home.
