Obituary for Robert William Miller

Robert W. Miller, 74, was born in Jackson, Michigan on December 24,1946. He passed away in Lansing, Michigan on June 22, 2021. Robert was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving from 1966-1968. He graduated from MSU prior to beginning his career in Law Enforcement with the Lansing Police Department in 1976. Robert retired from the force after serving his community for 24 years.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Edward and Roberta Pearl (Westcott) Miller and brother, Phillip (Sonny) Edward Miller II. He is survived by his wife of more than 26 years, Kim Miller; daughters, Rebecca (Cory) White, Kristin (David) Stahl, and Kathryn (Trevor) Armstrong; sister, Linda (Dennis) Howe; step-sons, A.J. (Shannon) Gray and Kyle Gray; seven grandchildren, whom he just adored; and many special nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2021 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Wagon Wheel American Grill - Oak Room, 7888 East Grand River Avenue, Portland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or the Humane Society in memory of Robert.
