Obituary for Lewis Clayton Hagle

Lewis Clayton Hagle, age 87, passed away on February 3, 2022. Lewis was born on March 18, 1934 in Lansing, the son of William and Jessie (Currie) Hagle. He graduated from Ashley High School. He worked at Oldsmobile for 37 years, the last 30 years of which were in the engineering garage and was also a member of the Local U.A.W. 652. Lewis served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1955-1957. He married Sheralea Schneider in 1963 and she passed away on December 31, 1978 after 15 years of marriage; they had two children. Lewis later married Sharon (Fletcher) Gensterblum in 1987.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Sheralea; sister, Katherine; brother, Samuel and stepson, Douglas Gensterblum. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; daughter, Cynthia Ann (Scott) Evans and their children, Katelyn (Sean) Haskins and their son, Arlo, Lacey (Anthony Russel) Evans and Cameron (fiancé, Riley Haverstick) Evans; son, Steven (Monica) Hagle and their daughter, Francesca; stepson, Richard (Sherri) Gensterblum and their children, Amber (fiancé, Alex Holdren), Randy (Jayme Pavlo) and their children, Ellie and Avery, Colin (Amanda Belt) and Corey; nephew, Mike (Judy) Williams and niece, Sandy Everette.

The Funeral Service will be celebrated by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Interment will be in Deepdale Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Post #4090. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
