Obituary for Edwin Earl Moffatt

Edwin Earl Moffatt, age 74, of Portland, passed away at home on June 18, 2022. He was born on September 6, 1947 in Ionia, the son of Edwin and Hazel (Connelly) Moffatt. Ed worked at General Motors until his retirement in 2004 after 38 years of service. He enjoyed softball and hunting in his spare time. Ed had a heart of gold and above all, he loved his family and was a great father.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Adam; and five sisters. Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Janice Moffatt; sons, Mike Moffatt and Jamie Moffatt; grandchildren, Mason Benbow and Jenesen Kiera Moffatt; two great-grandchildren with one on the way; sister, Marlene (Robert) Bernard; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Portland VFW #4090. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
