Obituary for Donald C. Skinner

Donald C. Skinner, age 77, of Portland, passed away at home on August 17, 2021. He was born on January 27, 1944 in Jackson, Michigan to Donald B. and Elsie (Robinson) Skinner. Don was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving in Vietnam from 1965-1966. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and being with his wife, Connie. In his younger years, Don liked to hunt. Don spent many years driving truck retiring in 2008.

Preceding Don in death are his parents; wife, Connie Skinner; daughter, Amber Jo Cuttle; son, Michael Cuttle; sister, Barb McCullough; and sister-in-law, Evonne Johnson. He is survived by his children, Lauri (Russ) Fisher of Concord, Angie Antolin of California, Robert (Donna) Cuttle of Belding, Jason (Heidi) Cuttle of Charlotte, and Scott (Debbie) Cuttle of Livonia; many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Jack (special friend, Carol) Johnson; nephews, Scott McCullough and Craig McCullough; and cousin, MaryAnne (David) Whitaker of Morrice.

The Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
