Obituary for Barbara Ann (Cook) Davison

Barbara Ann Davison, age 69, of Portland, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on July 29, 1952, the daughter of Thomas and Marie (Koenigsknecht) Cook, who preceded her in death.

Barb lit up the room with her smile and she had the ability to make anyone laugh. Her humor and wit were unmatched which is a trait inherited from her mother, Marie. Despite Barb's health she always had a positive attitude and never a word of complaint.

Barb enjoyed taking girls trips with her sisters and good friends, Pam and Laura for over 40 years. She loved dancing, crossword puzzles, crocheting and especially her 6 grandchildren who fondly referred to her as Grandma Arby. She worked for Citizens Insurance Company for over 20 years as a commercial rater.

In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her in-laws, Frank and Nona Davison. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Rick Davison; daughters, Lara (John) Hubbard and Adria (David) VanHorn; grandchildren, Jack, Kaylynn and Alexa Hubbard, Landon Foster, Kairo VanHorn, and Daxton VanHorn; sisters, Nancy (John) Costello, Donna (Jim) Clark, Diane (Tom) Hoban, Denise (Pete) Weeks, and Sharon Cook; brothers-in-law, Robert (Beverly) Davison and Tom (Vicki) Davison; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life luncheon honoring Barb will be held in June at the Red Mill in Portland which will be shared at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
