Molly Johnson to continue volleyball career at Lansing Community College

Portland High School senior Molly Johnson recently signed to play volleyball next year at Lansing Community College.

While at PHS, Johnson played three years of varsity volleyball and four years of varsity soccer. She was named 1st Team All-Conference in 2020 and 2021 for volleyball. She was also All-County in 2020 for volleyball. She was All-Conference Honorable Mention for soccer in 2021.

When asked about her choice of schools, Johnson said, “I chose LCC because of their excellent academics and they have Sonography which is the program I intend to study. I also chose Lansing Community College because both the players and coaching staff were very welcoming.”

Johnson added, “I would like to thank my high school and club coaches for pushing me to be my best and always believing in me. I would also like to thank my family and friends for supporting me throughout my journey.”

The LCC Stars athletic teams compete as part of the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.
