Lady Shamrocks top Potterville and Perry as Gracelyn Rockey collects 500th career rebound

The St. Patrick Girls Varsity Basketball team returned from Christmas break and hosted Potterville Tuesday evening. The Shamrocks defeated the Vikings 59-31. A balance of solid defense, quality shots and rebounding brought the team back strong from the break. Gracelyn Rockey led the team with 24 points, and 8 rebounds. Macie Leonard shot well beyond the arc and added 12 points. Lily Sandborn scored 8 points and had 3 steals.
Potterville was led in scoring by Lienerth and Dickerson each with 9 points.
On Thursday, the Shamrocks hosted Perry and defeated the Ramblers 54-26. The team rebounded well, pushed the ball and scored in transition. Gracelyn Rockey led the team with a double-double 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. Lily Sandborn followed closely and scored 14 points with 3 steals. Macie Smith scored 8 points and had 3 steals. Marian Davlin scored 6 points, had 3 rebounds and 2 steals.
Perry was led in scoring by Loggne with 13 points.
After the game, Shamrock coach Michelle Smith honored junior Gracelyn Rockey who collected her 500th career rebound!
The Lady Shamrocks host Lansing Christian on Tuesday at Portland Middle School.
