Lady Raiders top Charlotte 53-38

On Friday night, the Portland High School girls basketball team traveled to Charlotte for a CAAC White match-up.

Led by senior Ashley Bower with 14 points and senior Ava Guilford with 12 points, the Lady Raiders rolled to a 53-38 league win. Bower and Guilford each connected on four three-pointers in the game.

Charlotte was led by sophomore Jaelyn Baker who scored 13 points.

With the win, Portland improves to 11-1 overall, and 4-1 in the CAAC White. They currently sit 2nd in the league following Lansing Catholic who is 13-0, 5-0 in conference.

Portland will host non-conference Lowell (8-4) on Tuesday night, and then Ionia (7-5, 2-3 in conference) on Friday night.
