Portland High School senior forward Kayden Dickerson recently broke a record in the Portland basketball record books. One that will likely come up at a family gathering in the very near future.
When the Raiders played Olivet on the road on January 27th, Dickerson collected his 559th career rebound. This number exceed the prior Raider record of 553 career rebounds, which was actually held by his uncle Bridger Buche. Buche was a 2007 PHS grad.
Portland varsity coach Luke Pohl said, “Kayden Dickerson has earned a lot of accolades in the past four years he has played. The rebounding record is a very impressive record to hold!”
According to MHSAA.com, the Raiders are now 11-4 overall, and 7-2 in the CAAC White putting them in second place currently.
