Four Raider Wrestlers compete at Ford Field
Four Portland High School wrestlers traveled to Ford Field in Detroit this weekend to compete in the MHSAA individual wrestling state finals.
How they got to States
Senior Caiden Pelc advanced at #130 after finishing second at Regionals. Junior Drew Miller advanced at #135 after finishing fourth at Regionals. Senior Trent Trierweiler was Regional Champion at #140. Junior Isaiah Pelc finished Regionals third at #145.
Day One Summary
Drew Miller and Isaiah Pelc were eliminated in the consolation rounds on Friday. Both with hard fought losses. Trent Trierweiler lost in the semifinals on Friday night and advanced to the placement rounds on Saturday. Caiden Pelc won his semifinal match on Friday and advanced to the finals on Saturday.

Trent Trierweiler finished third in the state. Trent finishes his high school wrestling career as a four-time State Qualifier and two time All State wrestler. Caiden Pelc lost in the finals and finished second in the state. Caiden ends his high school wrestling career as a three-time State Qualifier, a sixth place as a freshman, a fifth-place finish as a sophomore, and a second place finish this year. His junior year was ended short by injury.
