Ava Guilford to continue basketball Career at Albion College

Portland High School senior and basketball stand-out Ava Guilford recently confirmed her decision to take her talents to Albion College next fall.

Guilford was a three-year starter for the Lady Raider basketball squad. She also played two years of varsity volleyball for Portland.

On the basketball court, she has earned All-Conference, All-State Honorable Mention, Athlete of the Month, and team Best Defensive Player honors. She was also a member of Portland’s 2021 Division 2 State Championship team.

When asked about her choice of schools, Guilford said, “I chose Albion College because I loved the coaches and the team atmosphere.”

Guilford added, “I would like to thank all of my coaches for their years of training and pushing me to be the player I am today. To my teammates, I am so thankful for the years of unforgettable memories and hours of great times spent together.”

The Britons of Albion College compete at the NCAA III level and are members of the Michigan Collegiate Athletic Association.
