After an exceptional 2024 season that went 30-4, and the Shamrocks are hoping for even more success in 2025. Top returning players include Sophomore Jerryd Scheurer (SS/P) and Junior Charlie Thelen (C/P/UT) who both earned All State last year, and Senior Brayden Simon (P/UT) who struggled with injuries last year but was 2nd team All-State as a freshmen. Junior Brady Leonard (P/UT) also received All League, All District, and All Region last year as a Pitcher.
Other returning players include Senior Nathan Fears (UT) who can play anywhere on defense, Senior Simon White (OF) who can compete with even the toughest pitchers at the plate, and Junior TJ Chamberlain (OF/P) who is a solid defender and throws strikes.
Newcomers are solid with Sophomore Logan Howe (C/P/UT) who has a good bat, is a solid catcher and strong competitor, Sophomore Tyler Thelen (1B/P) who is a tall, solid 1B, Left handed pitcher, and is good at putting the ball in play, Senior Grant Pline (UT) who is looking to swing his way into the lineup, and Junior Hudson King (OF/UT) who is a great athlete and tracks the ball well.
Coach Bryan Scheurer is excited about this season, and looks to compete in a very solid CMAC again. "If we stay healthy, especially our arms- (In hopes of getting a healthy Brayden Simon back!)- We should be competitive with most teams we face. We'd like to be competitive in our league, compete for a Diamond Classic invite, and have an opportunity to compete for post-season titles. It will come down to how consistent our everyday habits are."
St. Patrick has a home game versus Ionia on Wednesday, March 26th, and has another home game against Webberville on March 31st, weather permitting.
