Obituary for Steven M. Bengel

Steven Mark Bengel, age 57, of Eagle, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 30, 1963, the son of Edward and Monica (Werner) Bengel. Steve enjoyed the outdoors, he liked hunting, fishing, cooking, and grilling. He was also an avid MSU Spartan fan. Steve loved his dogs tremendously. He would give the shirt off his back to any friend in need.

Preceding Steve in death are his son, Joshua Bengel; his parents; and sister, Mary Jean Frye. Steve is survived by his daughter, Heather (Joshua) Lantz; brothers, Dan (Jo) Bengel, John (Cheri) Bengel, and Doug (Joni) Bengel; sister, Diane Bengel; brother-in-law, Mike Frye; and many special nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. The rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
