1st – 2nd – 3rd – 4th – Final

Portland 14 – 15 – 9 – 7 – 45

Charlotte 4 – 5 – 12 – 4 – 25

After the game, head coach Jason Haid told Beacon, “We talked about getting off to a fast start tonight and the girls shared the ball great but got in a little foul trouble early.” He added that he was “Really pleased that we made the extra pass and shared the ball.” Haid especially pointed out the excellent play of Alivia Densmore who made “great passes all night to Breckyn Werner. They play well together and post play is coming along.”

With tonight’s loss, Charlotte falls to 5-5 overall, 1-4 in the CAAC White. The Lady Raiders improve to 11-1 overall, 5-0 in the CAAC White.

The Portland squad will have two home games next week, hosting Lakewood on Tuesday, and Ionia on Friday. Friday night will be a double header with the boys starting at 6:30, and the girls starting around 7:30.

Haid said “We have a big game against Lakewood on Tuesday at home. Remember they knocked us out of tournament last year.”
