Obituary for Fredrick A. Meyers II
Fred A. Meyers II---Born, June 21, 1968, passed away on November 26, 2019 at the age of 51.
He loved his family and they came first in his life. Fred enjoyed life and had an infectious smile that he bestowed on everyone he met. He believed in getting along with almost everyone and felt he was easy going. He was quite the jokester, everyone was his “favorite”.
Fred was a graduate of Ionia High School Class of 1986 and went on to have a career in the Food industry. In his last years he was best known as the “Fire Oven Pizza Guy” at the Wagon Wheel. Many will remember him as the Trivia DJ, both at the Wheel and Renucci’s . He also held many different roles throughout his life; former member of the Elks- Exulted Ruler & former Secretary, worked for the Grand Ledge Meadows Charity Poker Room and he was an avid bowler.
Fred leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Boyd and Barb Meyers, Brothers: Eric Meyers, Greg (Tina) Wolbers, Jerry (Rhonda) Wolbers, Sister, Tammy Friddle, his sole surviving Grandma, Dorothy Lenneman, along with many Nephews, Nieces, Aunts, Uncles and Great Nieces and Nephews.
Fred is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Fred I. and Lucille Meyers, Ronald Lenneman Sr., Uncle Edwin (Spike), cousins: David Huhn, Jamie Huhn, and Daron Page.
Celebration of Fred’s Life will be held on December 23, 2019 from 3-8 p.m. in the Oak Room at the Wagon Wheel, 7888 E. Grand River Avenue, Portland.
