Darragh Goeckel Named PHS Raider of the Week

Portland High School is pleased to announce this week’s recipient of the “Raider of the Week” award:

Name: Darragh Goeckel

Grade: 12

Parents: Dan and Kacy Goeckel

Activities: Darragh has participated with the Raider volleyball and soccer teams throughout high school. She is a member of our National Honor Society and Student Council. She volunteers her time with the Ionia County Youth Advisory Council, our Community Service Club, and our BIONIC team.

Post-High School Plans: After graduating from high school, Darragh plans to finish her Associate’s Degree through the Portland Early College Program and then go to Grand Valley State University to earn a degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy.

Award: In recognition of being selected as “Raider of the Week” at Portland High School, Darragh is awarded one 9”/1-item pizza from The Pizza Shop courtesy of Dawn and Tom Hodge and will receive a plaque from S&K Trophies courtesy of Lynn and Dan Babbitt.
