Emergency crews respond to apartment complex fire on Kent Street

On Friday night, emergency crews responded to a fire at apartment on Kent Street in Portland.

According to a post on the Portland Area Fire Authority Facebook page, “Yesterday evening at approximately 10:10 pm, Portland Area Fire Authority(PAFA), Portland Police Department and Portland Ambulance responded to an apartment fire at 521 Kent St., PAFA personnel were able to contain the fire to a single apartment.”

The post also said, “Upon investigation, PAFA personnel located a deceased 66 year old female located in the apartment. The cause of the death is currently under investigation.”
