Shamrock baseball sweeps Bath

On Monday, May 13th, the Bath Bees visited Portland for a CMAC match with the Shamrocks. St. Patrick's was too strong, and handled the Bees easily, winning 8-0 and 13-1.

In the first game, Devin Fedewa pitched a full game, striking out 6, walking 1 and giving up 3 hits and no runs. Offensive leaders were Brandon Scheurer who went 3 for 3, with 2 RBI's and 1 walk, Devin Fedewa, Connor Cross, Chase Fitzsimmons, and Ryan Lay all pitched in base hits as well.

In the second game, Tanner Lawson got the win on the mound, pitching 3 innings striking out one and allowing 2 hits. Offensive leaders were Evan Schrauben who went 4 for 4 with 4 RBI's, and Brandon Scheurer who went 3 for 5 with 1 RBI.

Coach Bryan Scheurer was pleased to sweep a decent CMAC opponent. "We threw very well all, again 4 pitchers pitched excellent. We were able to get contributions from everyone in the field and in the lineup. We get back to practice tomorrow to continue to fine tune some little things, but this is a great sweep."

The Shamrocks travel to Fulton on Thursday, May 16th.
