Portland High School Bowling Teams Advance to States

Both Raider bowling teams finished second inf their respective regional competitions on Friday, advancing each to states.

Portland’s girls team qualified 2nd out of 16 teams.

Coach Whitford said he’s proud of his girls they really worked as a team today and is looking forward to next Friday bowling for the state championship. The team consisted of bowlers Jessie Whitford, Jordyn Fyan, Sammi Krausz, Emma Armour, Aubree Martin, Kaylee Becker and Olivia Gallt. Portland boys team qualified 2nd out of 18 teams.

Coach Armour said it was a true team event everybody contributing. The team consisted of bowlers Evan Warner, Vaughn Cross, Bennett Rushin, Jarod Huhn, Jack Dalman, Luke Dalman and Adien Pung.
