Portland Cross-Country was well represented at the Eaton Rapids Class Invitational on Tuesday

Portland and Portland St. Patrick’s High School Cross-Country Teams competed at the Eaton Rapids Class Invitational on Tuesday.

Freshman Madi Luxmore led all Portland High School Women earning a medal for 4th place in the Freshman Division with a time of 23:02. Junior Ari Babcock earned a 10th place medal in the Junior Division with a time of 24:35. Portland St. Patrick’s Senior Cordelia FoxElster finished with a time of 27:35 in the W

omen’s Senior Division.

In the Men’s Divisions Portland High Senior, Blaine Rosier, placed 26th out of 67 runners in the Senior Division with a time of 19:24. While Portland St. Patrick’s Tyler Coyne placed 19th among High School Juniors with a time of 18:48. Ben Wasmus led Portland Freshman with a time of 21:47 while Carter Rosier finished first among Portland Sophomores with a time of 22:14.

On Friday Portland and Portland St. Patrick’s Cross-Country Teams will participate in the Annual MSU Cross Country Invitational in East Lansing. 5,448 Runners from 175 High Schools are registered and expected to participate.
