Saint Patrick wasted no time setting the tone, jumping out to a 12–0 lead within the first minute of the opening quarter and forcing Webberville to burn an early timeout. The quick start clearly impacted the Spartans, who struggled to find any offensive rhythm for the rest of the quarter . The Shamrocks took full advantage, closing the first quarter with a strong 22–8 lead.
The shamrocks were able to hold a commanding lead throughout the second quarter never allowing Webberville to cut the lead within single digits. Despite a few pushes from the Spartans, SPS was able to hold the lead 43-33 going into the half.
To open the second half, the Spartans knocked down two timely three-pointers to trim the lead to 5 points. However, the momentum was quickly flipped when Shamrocks center Tyler Thelen answered on the other end with a tough and one layup, sparking a response that pushed Saint Patrick back in the lead 54–45 going into the 4th quarter. Despite the pressure, the Shamrocks stayed composed in the fourth, gradually stretching the lead to its largest margin of the night and closing out with a 66–53 win.
