Westwood Elementary Joins Thousands for Michigan Apple Crunch Day
On October 17th, Westwood Elementary School joined thousands of students and staff across Michigan in celebrating the Michigan Apple Crunch. This annual event, organized by MSU Extension and the Michigan Farm to Institution Network, promotes National Farm to School Month and highlights the importance of Michigan apples.
On Crunch Day, over 450 students and staff at Westwood eagerly bit into fresh, locally sourced apples. The event encourages schools and organizations to support local farmers and promote healthy eating among students.
