Are you ready kids??? The Portland Civic Players are super excited to announce the cast for their fall production of SpongeBob the Musical. Leading the cast as SpongeBob is Liam Beckett, Patrick played by Aaron Swan, Sandy Cheeks played by Izzy Pawlanta, Squidward played by Michelle Halgren, Emerson Dibean as Plankton, Bryna Adams as Karen, Jon Bair as Mr. Krabs, Olivia Evensen as Pearl, JohnRoy Vogl as Patchy, Erin Hoard as the Mayor, Emily Perry as Mrs. Puff, Jay Bell as Larry the Lobster, Xander Dilley as Perch Perkins, and Garrett Ramsey as Old Man Jenkins. Rounding out the cast as the citizens of Bikini Bottom are Chloe Sutberry, Ella Hanses, Nicole Shivley, Tiffany Barron, Keira Moffatt, Clay Ramsey, Sara Pohl, and Leon Miller
When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world!
SpongeBob SquarePants has been a beloved part of pop culture since it first aired in 1999. Beyond the underwater antics and colorful animation, the show has offered moments of surprising wisdom. SpongeBob’s determination and ability to see the bright side in every situation have inspired countless fans across generations.

Performances are November 6 and 13 at 7:30 and November 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 2:30. Tickets are $17 for adults and $11 for students (through high school). Tickets for PCP members will be available September 7. Tickets will be for sale for the general public on September 14. The SpongeBob Musical is based on the Nickelodeon animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants and made its world premiere in June 2016 at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago. The musical opened on Broadway at the Palace Theatre in December 2017. With twelve Tony Award nominations, it tied with Mean Girls for the most-nominated production at the 72nd Tony Awards in 2018.
