St. Patrick Baseball improves to 15-1

On Thursday, April 30th, the Shamrocks had a double header with Bath. The Shamrocks won game one 13-3. St. Patrick tallied 13 hits in the game. Brady Leonard had three hits. Charlie Thelen, Tyler Thelen, Mason Simon and TJ Chamberlain each had two hits. Leonard got the win on the mound pitching three innings and striking out six batters while allowing only one hit.
St. Patrick won game two 14-2. Jerryd Scheurer collected four hits in the game. Ben White added three hits. Tyler Thelen got the win on the mound going three innings with seven strike outs while holding Bath hitless.
On Saturday, May 2nd, the Shamrocks headed north for the Kris Popp Memorial. In game one the defeated Lake Leelanau St Mary 6-0. Scheurer and Leonard each had two hits in the game. Sean Fedewa went five innings in the pitching win striking out nine batters.
The Shamrocks defeated Maple City Glen Lake 13-1 in their second game. Scheurer led the team with three hits. T. Thelen got the win on the mound for the Shamrocks.
On Monday, May 4th, St. Patrick faced Potterville, winning the first game 17-0. C. Thelen led the offense with three hits and five RBIs. Scheurer also had three hits. Leonard got the win on the mound striking out 10 batters.
The Shamrocks topped Potterville 15-0 in the second game. C. Thelen led the offense with two hits and got the win pitching while striking out six batters.
On Thursday, May 7th, the Shamrocks faced Saranac. St. Patrick won game one 4-2. Fedewa struck out 12 batters and held Saranac to four hits. Leonard and Hudson King each had two hits.
In game two the Shamrock bats came alive collecting 14 hits in a 17-2 win. Scheurer had four hits and three RBIs. T. Thelen added three hits. Scheurer got the win on the mound striking out seven in three innings.
The Shamrocks have a busy week ahead with scheduled games against New Lothrop this Saturday, Fowler on Monday, Dansville on Thursday, and Sacred Heart and St. Francis next Saturday.
